* Read Ch. 1-3. While you are reading, think about the setting, characters, and problem in the story. When you are finished reading, answer the following questions by typing in the "comments" section of this post.
(1) Piper said, "Suddenly, I felt like a fish was swimming around in my belly." What does that mean? What is that phrase called (we studied this in 2nd grade)?
(2) How does it feel to be the "new kid" at school? If you haven't moved into a new school, think about a new sports team, youth group, etc.
(3) Identify the main characters, setting, and problem in the story. How do you think the problem will be solved?

I knew that the navy were water fighters and they also had a navy air force. They had missiles made of fire that didn't dissolve when they were shot in water! I also knew that the navy air force needed mechanics to work their planes. The last thing I knew is there is more than one ship on a team.

3. The main characters are chief (dad), mom, Tori, Sam, and Piper. The setting is close to the beach in San Diego and Pensacola. The problem is they are moving in the middle of the school year. So it's going to be hard to make some friends. The solution is Piper makes friends. Their names were Micheal, Nicole, Kami, and Hailey.
I know that the Navy is in the water when they fight in war.They wear uniforms with lots of armour.They fire torpedoes.It is wierd how the torpedoes have any effect in water.
